It is really hard to write about ourselves from an objective perspective. It is even more difficult when this information should fit in an easy to read box like an advertisement. Each word becomes very important to grab other members’ attentions so you don’t want to be vague or redundant. You will also want to avoid writing out a list of descriptive words like “honest, fun-loving, open-minded…” These really don’t tell us much about you except in a very superficial manner. Small details about your life can be much more revealing like, “I go for a walk on the beach every day at dawn” or “I’ve tried grasshoppers while in Cambodia.” The best way to make a good profile is to look at what other people wrote.
